The visit, without the locker-room version

Put your razor and stubble days behind you for the area you book. At The Body Bar Lounge the hard-to-reach places are ordinary appointments: back, chest, neck, sideburns, underarms, and full body. You are draped. The door is closed. Shuron is the person who already talked to you on the phone, which is the point of a one-person spa.

The wax is custom-formulated for gentle removal that also soothes, exfoliates, and softens. Coarse hair does not get a harsher product. It gets a clean technique and enough time. If you have only ever shaved, the first pull is the one people remember. It is fast. You can pause.

Hair length and timing

Let the hair grow to about a quarter inch. Clipped stubble will not come out cleanly, and you will have driven to Carmel for a conversation about waiting another week. Do not book a first full back the day before a wedding photo if you have never waxed. Give the skin two or three days. Skip the heavy workout and the hot tub afterward. Wear a shirt that does not sandpaper a fresh chest.

Brazilian waxing for men is on the menu in a basic and a full version. Say which one you mean when you call so the time on the book matches the work. Nose and sideburn appointments are short. Full body is not. The facial grooming package is separate if the request is beard line and brows.

Women who want the matching menu can read women’s waxing. Contouring is not added onto a wax. If you want Artemis T-Shape, book it for a day when that skin is calm.
